Independent Insurance Services become accredited to the Kent Trading Standards Buy with Confidence scheme

Independent Insurance Services are delighted to have recently become the first insurance broker in Kent to be recognised by Kent Trading Standards who have accepted the company onto their Buy with Confidence Scheme. This is a scheme for good traders set up to help reputable local businesses and consumers.
Only traders that pass strict checks are accepted on to the scheme and are able to display the Buy with Confidence logo.

Ray Johnson says
“we are delighted that Kent Trading Standards have given us accreditation to the Buy with Confidence scheme. Being part of the scheme gives added proof to our existing and potential clients that they are dealing with a reputable business.”

Award-Winning Broker Launches First
Commercial Insurance Policy with Eco Discounts

Independent Insurance Services, the only insurance broker to be registered with the British Standards Environmental Management System (ISO14001) has launched a commercial insurance product under its ‘Ecocover’ branding with discounts for ecofriendly businesses. Offered initially for Commercial Combined, the policy is underwritten by a leading UK insurer.

Businesses can be rewarded with a discount of up to 10% in addition to other policy benefits, for good environmental practices. These may include recycling, conserving energy and water, green procurement, using wind or solar power, or operating an Environmental Management System.
 

Independent Insurance Services grab five awards in five weeks!

Award winning Kent based insurance Broker, Independent Insurance Services, over a period of five weeks have added five new awards to their trophy cabinet. Their winning run commenced in April when they were highly commended in the Channel Business Awards 2007.

This was followed in May when they received the ‘Broker of the Month’ award for the amount of business received, from London based insurer, HCC International. They were chosen from over 1,200 UK insurance Brokers to win this award.

In June they were awarded the ‘South Kent College Employer Award 2007’. This recognised their contribution over many years to the Modern Apprenticeship Scheme.
Finally Proprietor, Ray Johnson, picked up two awards from Business Network International (BNI), one for his outstanding contribution to BNI over the last 10 years and the other recognising him as top networker over this period.

Ray Johnson, the Proprietor, commented:
“We were delighted to have received these various awards. This is testament to our commitment to customer service, training and general high standards. The icing on the cake for us was being accredited to the Kent County Council ‘Buy with Confidence Approved Trader scheme’, which we also found out about in June and we are due to received our Approved Trader certificate shortly”.

 

Meeting Room

Now that we have moved to our new office, we have found a room with great potential. After a few weeks deliberation, although we would have liked a plush bar or gym, we thought we would settle for a meeting room to hire. Therefore, all you lovely people can come and have a paying visit very soon!
